"This is probably the best overall coffee shop I've been to in Bangkok. Yes other shops also have good coffee and beans but none hit the trifecta of good coffee, ambiance and service so we'll. It's important to note that this place is absolutely not accessible if you are not ablebodied. Thrift a garage and up a mysterious staircase you'll find the most charming, rustic cafe. Full of seating and extra stools. A wide menu variety for coffee and matcha lovers. Outside are tons of stray cats, so might not be fun for those who are allergic. "What an eclectic coffee shop. The vibe is outstanding , chill , interesting. Old school. With a serene set up. Menu is broad and they truly know the coffee. Located in a cool “artsy” area. Definitely worth the visit"

"Located on the 2nd floor so you’ll need to climb a set of stairs, which might be challenging for seniors or those using wheelchairs/strollers. But the vibe feels like having coffee in your grandparents’ old house, with charming vintage Thai home decor. We paid 270 THB (~520 PHP) for 2 drinks. Both coffees were good, but honestly, it’s the cozy atmosphere that makes this place special."

"If you visit Talat Noi area, don't miss this cafe! Starting with the granny who incredibly makes the coffee for you with various choices you can choose such as beans, methods, menu. The cafe itself is also Thai old-town vibe look with wood material and the shop is on 2nd floor which you need to walk up by the stairs like old-fashioned Thai house style. This cafe does not provide you only good coffee, it also gives you time machine back to old-town Bangkok vibe from the architecture, location, people around. Some part of my feeling reminds me the good times in my childhood and youth when we just enjoyed our lives."

"I grew in a similar house; big house, wood planks floor on the 2nd floor living area, 1st floor storage or whatever. Inside is a modern (the counter & lighting) coffee shop where you can select beans from different countries. Brings back childhood memories."

"Cute little coffee shop tucked away on one of the most interesting streets in Talat Noi. Even the walk going there is fun. Lots of wall art along the way, so it already feels like an experience before you even arrive. The café itself is on the second floor, and walking in is kind of cool because it’s styled like an abandoned warehouse. Very rustic, simple, and there are plenty of instagrammable spots if you’re into taking photos. Seating is decent and we were able to find a spot pretty quickly. Drinks are a bit on the pricey side, but that’s expected since the area caters mostly to tourists. We had the Deja Vu (espresso with milk and a latte ice cube), which was well balanced but not special. The Hidden Shadow (espresso with hojicha and milk) was interesting, but the hojicha didn’t taste very fresh and would probably be better with a bit of sweetener. Overall, a nice stop for photos and a break while exploring Talat Noi."

"Great spot for coffee lovers. Had a dirty coffee and a Vietnamese-style one, different beans, clearly different profiles, both very good The building is amazing, the place is unique, always busy, with cats wandering around. Very cool atmosphere, even if it can feel a bit less warm due to the crowds"

"Mother Roaster is a great café for coffee lovers. The atmosphere is warm, simple, and comfortable. The shop is well designed and feels very welcoming, making it a nice place to relax or spend time with friends. The coffee is high quality and well made. The taste is strong but smooth, with good balance and aroma. Both black coffee and milk coffee are delicious and easy to drink. You can feel the passion and care in every cup. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are happy to recommend drinks and provide good service. If you are looking for a café with great coffee and a relaxed vibe, Mother Roaster is definitely worth visiting."
